L’ensemble Cénacle se spécialise dans l’interprétation du répertoire de musique de chambre du baroque tardif au pré-romantique. Il tente de faire renaître des instruments en vogue au 18ème tel que la viole d’amour, le cor de basset et le violone. Ces instruments qui ont aujourd’hui pratiquement disparu, mais pour lesquels les compositeurs ont écrit d’innombrables pages du répertoire.
Cénacle specialises in the interpretation of chamber music from the late baroque and early classical periods, showcasing instruments stylish in the 18th century, particularly the viola d’amore, the basset horn and the violone. These instruments have all but disappeared, but are the inspiration for innumerable excellent works by the composers of their time.
